The world has changed and is still changing due to our new pandemic reality. We need to reflect on the status of human rights and find new ways to ensure active engagement and participation among citizens. One of the ways to solve current social problems in our society is social entrepreneurship, thus we want to mark the International Social Enterprise Day and celebrate passion, empathy and engagement.
The conference combines two narrative lines – stories of change told by inspiring social leaders and discussions run by policymakers and experts on how can we support and scale these initiatives.
The Social Enterprise Day conference marks its third year in Lithuania. This year the conference will be held online which grants the inclusiveness and stability in these difficult and unpredictable times.

The topics that will be presented are introduced by our partners and social leaders that are working with vulnerable people in the communities. This time we will focus on these vulnerable groups: LGBTQ+, youth, women, seniors, children, refugees & asylum seekers.
We will hear stories from Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Poland and Nordic countries.

The Founder & Chairman of ‘Single Step Foundation‘ whose mission is to support, motivate and empower LGBTI youth in Bulgaria. He is also the CEO of ‘Single Step’s social enterprise ‘The Steps’.
The Founder of the social enterprise ‘CommuniCare‘ that relieves the loneliness of elderly people. The team creates a network of volunteers to provide elderly people living in nursing homes company and social companions with whom to talk, go for a walk or play board games.
The CEO of the ‘Good Deed Foundation’ (Heateo Sihtasutus). She was behind setting up the first incubator in Estonia designed for social start-ups and the first venture philanthropy funds that support impactful solutions to most pressing societal problems.

Prior to this position Sandra had diverse experience in project managing, advocacy and communication, was involved in and implementing international projects (Euro adoption in Lithuania, Global Libraries in Lithuania (B&M Gates Foundation), Vilnius – European Capital of Culture, etc.).
The founder of “Levila”, a new media laboratory in Estonia that aims to heal society with stories. Daniel has previously consulted governments, startups and sometimes even theatres on having more impact. He has also written two books about journalism and communication and is currently writing the third about the last president of Estonia, Kersti Kaljulaid.
The Founder & CEO of social enterprise ‘Socialinė iniciatyva‘ that aims to provide mobile youth work in young people’s local environments. The services they provide not only enrich young people’s leisure time, but also ensure their social integration and help to tackle important problems in their lives.
The Founder and president of the ‘Autonomy Foundation‘ based in Poland. She is a feminist and lesbian activist, expert on women’s human rights and gender based violence primary prevention. She focuses on strengthening the courage, independence and solidarity of women* and girls*, with the experience of disability and ableism, transphobia and homophobia.
Project Manager at ‘Enterprise Lithuania’, where she works with social enterprise ecosystem development. She finished her Masters degree in Social Entrepreneurship in Denmark and is now working to apply her knowledge to help sustainable and socially responsible businesses grow in Lithuania.
The founder of social enterprise LLC “Ligero” – leading vulnerable youth empowerment by entrepreneurs, and the Social project manager at social enterprise “Sonido” where she is in charge of social project development and expansion of the “Let’s talk!” concept.
The founder of “Plecs”. Activist, enterpreneur, marketing profesional, strategist. His heart is in putting private sector innovation experience into projects, that greatly improves children potential and shapes children policy. Have founded and implemented projects like Manabalss.lv, Dod Pieci, Plecs, Mācītspēks, EMU.lv etc., that have been great success in Latvia and resonated worldwide.
The Director of NGO ‘Make Room‘. In Latvia ‘Make Room’ focuses mainly on fostering effective inclusion of migrants with fewer opportunities, generating employment and volunteering opportunities.
The CEO of the ‘Lithuanian Social Business Association‘. Viktorija is actively involved in the Lithuanian social business ecosystem building with a special focus on legal regulation, raising awareness, and international cooperation.
The Founder of ‘The Ella Fund’. Erin’s career spans roles as a drug developer, chief executive, board member investor and philanthropist. Today she is an independent board director and advisor for public and private life sciences and pharmaceutical companies.
Diplomat at the Swedish Embassy in Vilnius covering human rights, culture, economic affairs and trade. Previously worked at the Swedish Embassies in Rwanda and Nigeria, covering topics ranging from human rights and humanitarian affairs to migration, security policy and democratic development.
Trauma wise Consultant and Trainer for alternative parents and specialists working with children. Formerly a manager of family and children care services NGO. Piloted professional foster care and preventative family services in Lithuania. Main focus now – to foster trust based relationships between adults and children through understanding of developmental trauma, attachment and interpersonal neurobiology.
